8th grade STEAM ELA students wrapped up their Anne Frank unit with a research project. Students first wrote an informational essay on a World War 2 or Holocaust focused topic with a STEAM focus. Then, students turned these research papers into presentations! Students went through both an individual and a group evaluation process before presenting to the class. These STEAM students taught each other about many interesting subjects related to WW2 and the Holocaust, such as the discovery and use of Penicillin, the Manhattan Project, Wernher von Braun, and plasma transfusions on the battlefield. #WeAreRHMS

Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Taylor Selph and Owen Wright.
Taylor is a fierce competitor. She takes every practice like it is a game. There is no slacking at practice for Taylor. She goes all out the entire time. She is intimidating, she is fast, she is skilled, and she has an excellent shot. Taylor does not say much at practice but leads with her work ethic.
Owen is new to RHMS, bus has already made a positive impact on the soccer team and in class. He is a positive player who always seems to be in a good mood. Owen did not let an injury slow him down and has pushed through and played tough at practice.
Congrats Taylor and Owen. #WeAreRHMS

World Down Syndrome Day is quickly approaching. Wear your silly socks on Monday, March 21st. The idea of a fun pair of socks helps shine light and embrace those with Down syndrome. #WeAreRHMS
