Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Walter Pugh and Alexa Hamlin. Both have been nominated for their performance on our Track and Field team. Here's what the coaches had to say about these student athletes.
Walter has been a tremendous asset to our Track & Field team this season. He is one of the hardest workers on the team and always gives great effort on and off the field (and track). Not only is he currently participating in T&F, but he is also a key member of the soccer team. It speaks volumes about his character and work ethic to be able to be dedicated to two sports in the same season and excel at both. Walter embodies what is expected of our student athletes at RHMS.

Alexa has been a welcomed addition to the team this year! By competing in multiple events, she is a vital part of our success. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the sport, she also steps in to challenge and help others in their athletic development. We are very proud of you, Alexa! - Coach Rider

2-0 in the region. Goals were scored by Ella Peterson, Iris Turner, Madison Hoy, Brooke Norris, Emma Scott, and Victoria Wallace. The Lady Wildcats are traveling to Ebenezer today for another region game. Let's go Wildcats! #WeAreRHMS
Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Samaya Scranton and Jayden Taylor, both from our Track and Field Teams.
Samaya just received the Girls High Points Award at the regional track meet this year, which means that she earned the most overall points out of ALL competing girl athletes in the region! She has been one of the easiest athletes to coach. She is brave, hardworking, competitive, and very knowledgeable when it comes to the sport. Not to mention, she is an outstanding student amongst other accomplishments. We are going to truly miss her but also look forward to see what she will do in the future! Way to go, Samaya!
Jayden has been an integral part of our Track & Field success the past two years. His hard work in practice has continuously shown up on the track as he took first place in the 400- and 800-meter race at the Region Track meet. By winning these two races this season, it gave him victories in each event in back-to-back years. Not only is he a standout in Track, but he was one of our most valuable players on our region championship football team this year as well. Jayden has been a key reason for our back-to-back region championships in Track & Field andwe look forward to keeping up with all his future success at the high school in the next four years! #WeAreRHMS

Congratulations to our Athlete of the Week, Catherine Demarzio.
Catherine is a true leader at RHMS. She leads by example, running the fastest, doing extra laps with girls who do not run as fast her, leading drills, conditioning segments and sharing her vast knowledge of lacrosse. Catherine is an amazing technical player. She is aggressive and very skilled. She can anticipate where the ball is going and we haven't found anyone who can beat her in a foot race. The great thing about Catherine is that she is not conceited. This year Catherine has stepped out of her comfort zone and has played an instrumental part in teaching our 6th graders the game. We appreciate her quiet leadership on the team and her selflessness in helping the team grow for the future.
Way to go Catherine! #WeAreRHMS
