POWERSCHOOL PARENT & STUDENT ONLINE STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
Bryan County School System is proud to announce the latest update to the PowerSchool Student Information System now offers a single sign-on for parents/guardians with multiple students, plus automated password recovery for parents. Each parent/guardian can log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal with one account and see any and all students for whom they have legal and parental rights.
With Parent Single Sign-on, the Confidential ID and password currently assigned to a parent/guardian will serve as the Access ID and Access Password credentials needed when creating or adding students to an account. Attempting to log into the public PowerSchool portal using the current Confidential ID and password without creating an account will result in the following error message:
Invalid User Name or Password!
A Parent Portal User Guide is available to assist parents with creating accounts. Parents who do not have an assigned Confidential ID or Password will not be able to create an account for Parent Single Sign-On. A required step for creating a new account is entering the student's name, and then entering the Confidential ID and Password in the Access ID and Access Password fields, and choosing the familial relationship to the entered student. Parents must have the Access ID and Access Password for at least one student, otherwise parents will not be able to link to the student, and will therefore not be able to create an account. They will receive the following error message:
[Student's Name] has not been added to your account. Valid student information must be entered
Parents who do not have an assigned Confidential ID or Password may pick up this information from their child’s school. Each school will make this information available to all parents during the school’s Open House.
Students will continue to log in to PowerSchool using their issued Student’s Confidential ID and password without the need to create an account.
VIEW YOUR CHILD’S LUNCH ACCOUNT AND MAKE PAYMENTS ONLINE.
Bryan County School District Food Service utilizes the MySchoolbucks Point of Sale computerized lunch system. Through MySchoolbucks, the website MySchoolbucks.com provides parents the ability to view their child (ren)’s account balance online from the privacy of their own homes and to place online payments in their child (ren)’s lunch account. By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so the child has more time to eat and be with friends. With this new service, parents also do not have to worry about sending cash or checks to school with their children. Parents will have the ability to print out a copy of their child’s eating history report. This history will show you all dates and times that your child has purchased a breakfast and or lunch within the past thirty days.
To access these services:
1. Simply go to the Nutrikids web site at https://www.myschoolbucks.com/
2. From this link you will be able to create a personal account and add money to your child (ren)’s school meal account(s). All your need is your child’s name, student Power School number and the school zip code.
Things to know:
If you have more than one child in the district you can handle all online prepayments from the same online account.
Payments may be made using an existing PayPal account or through PayPal using a major Credit card or Debit card. E-checks are also available but the processing time may be delayed up to 5-7 days. Signing up for a separate PayPal account IS NOT required even though payments are handled through this site.
In order to use the online prepayment service, a small convenience fee for each transaction will be assessed to cover transaction fees. The convenience fee is $1.75 per deposit transaction. Parents placing money into multiple meal accounts will only be assessed the $1.75 once per deposit transaction. Bryan County School District does not profit from the use of this site, transaction fees are charged and collected by PayPal.
It is not required to make payments online to view your child’s transaction history. Simply access the MyNutrikids.com website, create a personal account and you can view your child’s eating history and balance. Once you sign up, it may take up to 24 hours to actually see transactions appear.
If you choose not to take advantage of the online prepayment service you may continue to make advance payments via cash or check made payable to Bryan County School Nutrition Program. Please write your child’s full name on the check.
